Marion R. Miller passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 97 after a brief illness. She was born Marion Ruth Hamill in Rahway, New Jersey and graduated from Rahway High School in 1944. Her marriage to Claude Ray Miller of Jasper, Indiana endured for 54 years until his passing in 2000. For more than 35 years she worked as a medical assistant for Drs. Stuart and Foster Orton, and Dr. Benjamin Colalillo on Elm Avenue in Rahway. At the same time, she steered her family through a series of challenging medical and personal difficulties, displaying extraordinary persistence, courage, and kindness. In 1997, she and her husband moved to Taunton, Massachusetts. She immersed herself in the Taunton community, coordinating local fundraising for the March of Dimes, serving as a eucharistic minister at the church of St. Andrew the Apostle, and volunteering as a patient care representative at Morton Hospital. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Miller and his wife, Jody, of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and Ronald Miller and his wife, Virginia, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, as well as five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am Monday April 29 at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church of St. Andrew the Apostle, 19 Kilmer Avenue in Taunton. She will be interred alongside her husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
