Richard "Rick" J. Slavick

In Taunton, Richard J. Slavick, age 69, passed away suddenly at Morton Hospital on April 8, 2024. Richard is survived by his wife Kathleen (Leonard) Slavick of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Stephen Slavick and Jeannette (Cote) Slavick. Loving and devoted father of Kimberly (Slavick) Campbell and her husband Scott of Upton. Richard had resided in Taunton his entire life. He attended Taunton schools, a graduate of Coyle & Cassidy High School and received his Masters degree from Northeastern University in Boston. Richard enjoyed golfing, all local sports teams, and dining out. He was a devoted, caring, and loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished his time with family, especially his two grandsons. Richard also leaves his siblings; Stephen Slavick and his wife Patricia of N.Y., Joanne Murphy and her husband Michael of Taunton, Peter Slavick and his wife Tina of VA, and the late William Slavick and his surviving wife Michelle of Taunton. Rick also leaves his beloved grandsons, Wil and Ben. Funeral from the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, April 12th at 8:45 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Nicholas of Myra Church in North Dighton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7 pm.
